ACI Marina Dubrovnik

The marina is open year round. It is located near the town of Komolac in Rijeka Dubrovacka at the mouth of the river Ombla.

The city of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 7th century. It is situated in the south of Dalmatia, where the string of Adriatic islands ends and the open sea begins, at the foothills of Srđ. Dubrovnik, with its rich cultural heritage and a fascinating array of visitor services, is also home to one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic.

Only 6 kilometers to the city center, ACI Marina Dubrovnik has been holding the Blue Flag for many years in a row for its perfectly clean sea. The marina was also declared the best marina in the Adriatic (in the 250-450 berth (mooring) category) in the “Flower of Tourism – Quality for Croatia” competition for three consecutive years (2010-2012).

This marina is also well known among sailors as one of the safest marinas to moor as well as to keep and maintain your vessel in. It provides shelter for 380 boats in wet berths and 140 in dry berths all year round. Mega yachts up to 60 metres long can also be accommodated.

ACI Marina Dubrovnik is an ideal starting point for a Croatian boating adventure because the Dubrovnik region comprises of the islands of Korčula, Mljet, Lastovo and the Elaphite archipelago, as well as the Pelješac peninsula.

The most important public building in Dubrovnik is Rector’s Palace (Knežev Dvor) which you can see at the entrance. The building used to house the Republic’s government and its Rector, with the inscription “Obliti privatorum publica curate” (Forget private affairs, take care of public ones).

Dubrovnik is very popular with its Summer Festival, which traditionally opens with a meaningful performance of the “Ode to Liberty,” with lyrics by 17th-century Dubrovnik poet Ivan Gundulić and music by 20th-century composer Jakov Gotovac.

Dubrovnik has a long history of freedom fighters. The last flash of Dubrovnik’s independence flared in 1813 during a short-lived uprising against the French rule. The uprising, led by Đivo de Natali, ended with the entry of Austrian troops.

Mooring: There are 380 berths and 140 dry berths. The marina is protected by a breakwater, but the bora wind can be felt strongly when blowing down the river valley. The marina can accommodate mega yachts up to 60m in length.

Sightseeing: Perhaps the most famous tourist destination in Croatia as well as all of the Mediterranean, Dubrovnik deserves the name as the "Pearl of the Adriatic". Dubrovnik was founded in the 7th century, accumulating a history and culture so rich that it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will need several days to visit Dubrovik properly because there are so many sites. Towers, fortifications, churches, the Duke's Palace, museums an deven the streets bloom with history. But if you want a really quickway to immerse yourself in the heritage of Dubrovnik, you can walk through the Stradun, visiting Luza Square , Sponza Palace and Orlando 's Column.

Approach: The ACI marina is situated at the end of the Rijeka (“river”) Dubrovačka inlet. The width varies between 170 and 400 metres all the way to the monastery in the village of Rožat which can be easily spotted. When approaching the mouth of Rijeka Dubrovačka, you must use the islet of Daksa as landmark, which can be rounded from any side. There is a lighthouse (Fl W 6s 7m 10M) on the northern cape of the islet. The exact position of the lighthouse is 42°40.2’ N 18°03.5’ E. A lighthouse on Cape Kantafig (Fl R G 2s 8m 4M) marks the entrance to the mouth of Rijeka Dubrovačka. The route following the riverbed leads to the Mokošica lighthouse (Fl R 3s 6m 4M) and on to ACI Marina Dubrovnik. The inlet becomes narrower and shallower starting from Rožat. The water depth is 3-5 metres. The marina it is protected from river currents by a long breakwater, and at night it is floodlit.
