Ponta Delgada Marina

The Ponta Delgada Marina is located on the south side of the island of São Miguel, 500 meters from the city center of Ponta Delgada. Its recent expansion from 140 to 640 berths divided it into two areas, Nascente (former Marina de Pêro de Teive) and West (also known as Marina das Portas do Mar).

Awarded with the Blue Flag and the Quality Coast flag, the Marina of Ponta Delgada is an important infrastructure for the development of tourism in the Azores, playing a supporting role for all local recreational sailors and those sailing the North Atlantic .

The marina is located inside the commercial port on the south coast of the island of São Miguel. The reception dock, 30 m, is at the entrance, on the port side.

Only the starboard side of the marina entrance is illuminated, but the land and pier lights are sufficient to identify the reception pier, which has a row of flagpoles.

The maximum speed at the port is 3 knots.

The port is protected by an illuminated breakwater. The main reference is the Santa Clara lighthouse.
