Marina Funtana
Marina Funtana is located in Funtana, a small fishing and touristic village on the west coast of Istria, between Poreč and Vrsar. Poreč is 6km to the north and Vrsar is about 4 km to the south. There are numerous other larger towns and popular tourist destinations nearby, including Rovinj and Pula. The marina has a 280-metre-long breakwater and pontoons to shelter it from all winds, especially those of the fourth quadrant. The marina is open all year round.
Mooring: Marina Funtana has a total capacity of 180 wet berths and 40 dry berths for boats of 5 to 30 m in length. All berths provide double moorings, water and electricity. The maximum depth of berth is 4.5 m, with minimum 2.5 m.
Approach: On the north side of the Funtana bay, you must be careful with the shallow waters called Janjci. They are marked on the northern edge, with a black post with two red belts and two black balls on top. On the South side entering promontory, between the islet of Veli Školj and the coast, there are the Funtana shallows. They are marked by a post of yellow-red colour with two black cones with tops turned upwards. In the bay, about 200 m west from the pier, there are rocks and reefs you must be careful about. The safest way to sail in is from the west side; just watch for the Janjci shallows.
