Porto di Agropoli

The Port of Agropoli is a safe haven very close to the historical downtown area of Agropoli, the shopping avenues in the core of the Cilento National Park and near the Trentova. Its crystal-clear waters are recognized with Blue banner. There are roughly 1,100 berths at the Port

The port of Agropoli is an important landmark for the tourism and trade development around in Cilento. It was previously a little natural harbor, a shelter for the boats, and a "Fort", a gathering place for mariners. It is during the 70s that the port takes its meaning of the marina and from that point forward corporates, families and entrepreneurs of the area are committed to the hospitality business, mooring, services, shipbuilding, storage, tourist accommodation, and many more for tourists and sailors.

The street leading to the port 'Riviera Antonicelli' is named after Franco Antonicelli, writer, poet and anti-fascist Italian political prisoner in Agropoli between August 1935 and March 1936.

In Agropoli, Antonicelli proceeds with his work as editorial assistant and translator. He passes his days drawing the landscapes that look to the mountains and the sea and writing.
