Marina Sangulin

It is located north of the ferry pier in the southern part of the town harbor; Marina Kornati is located in the northern part of the harbor. The marina is open year round.

Marina Šangulin is located in the town of Biograd na Moru, between the towns of Zadar and Šibenik. Biograd is an interesting destination to sailors due to its central location in the Adriatic and close vicinity to national parks Kornati and Krka, and nature parks Vransko Lake and Telašćica. The town has two large marinas, Marina Kornati and Marina Šangulin, which lie next to one another. Marina Šangulin is smaller than Marina Kornati and closer to the town peninsula, approximately 200 metres from the old town. Situated in the southern part of the town harbour, Marina Šangulin offers a safe shelter from all winds. It gets very busy and crowded in the months of July and August.

Mooring: Marina Šangulin has 200 wet berths and 20 dry berths, all of which are equipped with water and electricity. It can accommodate boats and yachts up to 15 m. Sea depth in the marina ranges from 1.5 to 4 m. The breakwaters protect the marina from winds but north-westerlies can produce swells in the marina.

In the Area: Biograd na Moru dates from the 10th century and has developed into a tourist destination, characterized by beautiful beaches and picturesque bays, in the last fifty years. Biograd has important historical interest as in the 11th century, it was the seat of the Croatian king. Then in 1125 Venetians destroyed Biograd but were not able to gain control for nearly three-hundred years. And finally in 1646 Biograd was again destroyed; this time by the Turks. There are three national parks in the vicinity: Paklenica, Kornati Archipelago and Krka, Telascica Nature Park is also not far.
