ACI Marina Trogir
It is located on the northern side of Ciovo Peninsula, between Cape Cubrijan and Trogir Bridge. The marina is open year round.
With its historic town center a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, the town of Trogir is a living museum. This medieval town, which was shaped between the 13th and 15th centuries has more historical sites than you could count. But the most importatn one among these is certainly the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, with its famous portal by Master Radovan. The cathedral is located in the narrow main street lined with picturesque Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque palace fronts. The Greek God Kairos can be considered the oldest symbol of Trogir. This Greek god of the right moment or opportunity, has a relic from the 3rd-century BC, which is preserved in the Benedictine convent. This valuable piece can be seen during the summer season.
A bridge connects the old town centre with the island of Čiovo where ACI Marina Trogir is located. The bridge allows the passage of boats of up to 2.80 metres in height. The marina is open all year round and offers a magnificent view of the beautiful promenade of Trogir and of St. Lawrence’s Cathedral bell tower. You may think that time stands still in this town, but the energy of its citizens will say otherwise. The locals have a way of perfectly combining their daily life with the inquisitive tourists, which will also make you feel at home.
Trogir is rich not only in history but in natural beauties as well. 1.5 km east of Trogir, you will find a 500-metre shingle and sand beach with a pine forest in the back ground. Komarac (“Mosquito”) beach, very popular among young people is also nearby. But if you want to see the the most popular and most beautiful beach on the Trogir Riviera you must go to the Okrug Gornji beach on the western coast of the island of Čiovo, 2 km from Trogir town centre.
In Pantan Nature Park, bird-watching tourism is developing rapidly. In recent years, the site has been a hot spot for many bird-watchers from all over the world. Reaching the park is very easy because it is very close to the town centre, only 2 km away.
Trogir is known as the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic town in all of Central Europe.
Mooring: There are 174 berths and 35 dry berths for yachts up to 18 meters. The marina is well-protected from all winds.
Sightseeing: Trogir is a leading tourist and cultural-historical spot in central Dalmatia. It is linked by a drawbridge with the peninsula Ciovo. Trogir has a long history going through different periods. It lived as a former Greek colony, a Roman harbor, and the town of Croatian-Hungarian Kings. And the historical sites asre as varied: The town wall, the Kamerlango Castle , St. Lovro Cathedral with portal by Radovan (13th century), Ivan Ursini Chapel, the Benedictine Convent, the City Loggia with Clock Tower are only some of the monuments worth seeing. The annual summer festival is also an important tourist attraction.
Approach:The old town centre of Trogir is situated on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo. As the sea is only 2 m deep in the channel north of the town, it is not advisable to sail here. There are three bridges on this channel, all connecting the town with the mainland. One is an old stone bridge across the channel, and the other is the new wooden bridge in the west of the Fortin area. Connecting the town with the island of Čiovo, where the ACI marina is located, is another bridge (2.80 m clearance).
Ships cannot pass under the bridge, so as you are coming from Kaštela Bay approach from the west between Čiovo and Čelica Rock. A very visible landmark is the green lighthouse on Cape Čubrijan (Fl G 2s 8m 4M), the exact position of which is 43° 30.7′ N 16° 14.6′ E. For those approaching from the east the course is marked by red and green buoys. Water depth in the passage under the bridge is 4.5 m.
