Split - The Heart of Dalmatia

Located in the eastern shores of the Adriatic‚ Split is the most important city of Dalmatia. In addition to its natural beauties‚ the city has a long history. So‚ even if you’ve only come here to rent a boat‚ we do recommend spending some time visiting this great city. Split has its place in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List with the Diocletianus Palace built in the beginning of the fourth century. You can just forget yourself in the meandering streets of Split while discovering the city – but don’t forget to plan your sailing holiday and yacht charter route! Split is a good place to rent a boat as it has an airport in only 20 minutes’ distance.

An Important Port for the Dream Islands of the Adriatic

Split offers unlimited alternatives to yacht charter clients to visit the most beautiful islands of southern Adriatic. Boat rental in Split is the most convenient and satisfactory way to explore Brac’s clear waters and high hills‚ Hvar’s medieval architecture and astonishing nature‚ the wonderful hidden coves of Vis‚ the untouched Lastovo‚ Korcula Island to follow the footsteps of Venetians‚ the twelfth century town Mljet and all those little islets.

Notes from Split:

  • You need to spend at least three hours in the Diocletianus Palace‚ a very big Roman palace with four different entrances.
  • Before your boat holiday‚ watch the sunset in Riva.
  • Here‚ boat rental season is long; you can take any opportunity for a yacht charter from mid-April to mid-October.
  • Although the main destination in yacht charters in Split is the islands‚ don’t miss Trogir and Makarska cities close to Split. We have to add that the Blue Lagoon in the Drevenik Veliki Island‚ right offshore Trogir‚ is another outstanding place to visit.
  • If you say you’re good captain‚ you can prefer a bareboat‚ but if you hire a captain through the yacht charter‚ the experienced captain will take you to the most pristine coves and tell the story of each island.
