Corfu - The channel of love
The northernmost Greek island‚ Corfu‚ is situated in the Ionian Sea not far from Albania's shore. The island is the second-largest Greek island in the Ionian Sea with a total area of 590 km2. Because of its size‚ the island has a range of landscapes‚ including lofty mountains that gaze out over white sand beaches and a blue ocean. One of the prettiest and greenest Greek islands is Corfu. Corfu has always played an important strategic role‚ which has prompted the island to be heavily fortified. The island was ruled by the Venitian Republic for about four centuries‚ which produced several magnificent buildings. Since 2007‚ Corfu's charming old town has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Corfu is a great place to go on vacation because of its interesting combination of beautiful beaches‚ a rich cultural heritage‚ and historical buildings.

Corfu marinas from which to explore the island by boat
A sizable harbor called Gouvia Marina is located in Kontokali‚ a neighborhood of Corfu.
The Venitian Shipyards are located in Gouvia Marina‚ the most well-known harbor on the entire island of Corfu. In the harbor‚ a number of Venetian ships are on display. Yachts up to 80 meters in length can dock at the marina's amazing 1235 spaces. The marina has direct access to the Ionian Sea and can handle vessels with a maximum draught of 5.5 m.
If you want to be close to Corfu's Old Town‚ Naok Marina‚ which is located in the city's western section‚ is the place to go.
Reservations are advised because the 222 berth marina can get extremely busy during the peak season. Erikoussa Marina is a tiny marina situated in the lovely village of the same name and is ideal for those seeking something more quiet. Erikoussa is a wonderful vacation destination and a wonderful location to take in the local natural beauty. 70 spaces at the marina can accommodate boats up to 30 meters in length. Kassiopi Marina is located approximately 3‚5 kilometers from the strait separating Corfu from the coast of Albania on the island's northeastern shore. The marina can accommodate boats with drafts up to 3 m despite being quite shallow.
