Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas
Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas is located in the center of the cosmopolitan and dynamic city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and inside, but totally independently, of one of the most important commercial ports in Atlántico, it is presented as an ideal place to prepare the transatlantic crossing, such as the Regatta ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), which each year departs from this port with 200 participants from different countries.
Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas currently has 1,250 berths, which means it is the largest in the Canary Islands and is protected by two docks, providing 210,000 m2 of shelter area. The main dock is 680 meters long and has 130 mooring points aft to the dock, allowing a maximum length of 45 meters. In the closing dock, 700 meters long, it has five docks with 150 docking points with a maximum length of 16 meters. On the Muelle de Ribera side of the port, which is next to the city, 12 docks are distributed, totaling approximately 870 berths and allowing a maximum length of 16 meters.
It has 24-hour surveillance and all the docking points have electricity and water. Inside the marina we can find bath and shower services, correspondence, public telephone, bar, restaurant, weather information and service station, which supplies fuel and lubricant to the different boats.
The dry dock has a 60-ton travelift and a 3-ton lifting machine. The dry dock facilities are used by all types of boats, and all necessary services, both maintenance and repair, can be carried out there. The Red Cross of the Sea and Maritime Salvage have their base of operations in the marina.
Recreational activities:
You can rent all kinds of sailing boats. There are also diving schools that offer training courses, equipment rental and excursions, especially to sunken ships on the outskirts of the bay.
