Marina Valalta

Marina Valalta is open from April to October. It is situated in Sv. Feliks bay south from the Lim Channel and twenty minutes’ drive from Rovinj. With two breakwaters, the marina is well protected from bura, jugo and other winds but you must be careful with west winds. It is the first and only marina for naturists on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, which makes it a special destination for sailors and naturism lovers alike.

In addition to secure mooring for their boats, the marina offers its guests boat maintanence facilities like raising and lowering of boats. You can also find sanitary facilities with warm and cold water. For the boats, there are also water and power connections at dockside as well as a slipway.

Marina Valalta, and its adjacent beach, is for naturists only. So, if you decide to moor, you must undress. Persons who are not naturists may only stay overnight or in the event of bad weather. If you want to stay dressed, you can moor at one of the 24 buoys outside of marina, but you will be charged for the stay.

Mooring: Marina Valalta has 180 berths and 60 dry berths, all providing water and electricity. It can accommodate both small boats and large yachts up to 15 meters long. The depth of the water in the marina is between 1.5 to 6 meters.

Sightseeing: Home to one of the most refined seaside resorts in Croatia, Rovinj is situated on the western coast of Istria. The town was built on an island that was later connected to the mainland in 1763 to create a peninsula. The old town, surrounded by a thick pine forest, remains quite picturesque. The architecture of Rovinj largely reflects the Venetian control of the city from 1283 until 1797. Numerous islands lie right off the coast, including St. Catherine (Sveta Katarina ) and Red Island (Crveni otok). Along the Rovinj coastline you can find many beaches, hotels, tourist villages, campsites and sports facilities. The Baroque church of St. Euphemia ( Sv. Eufemija ), built in 1736, looks over the town. And you shouldn’t miss the city’s oldest monument from the 13th century: The heptagonal Romanesque chapel of the Holy Trinity ( Sv. Trojstvo).
