Agios Kosmas Marina
Agios Kosmas Marina is located at the coastal area in southern Attica and it is widely known as the beginning point of Athens 2004 Olympic Games sailing competition. The marina has extraordinary seashore facilities that can offer a large variety of touristic and nautical activities.
The marina is located at the coastal area in southern Attica, next to the city of Glyfada, 15km away from the city centre of Athens. It has perfect connections: It is at 25km driving distance from the international airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and only 12km away from Piraeus port.
The Marina Agios Kosmas is a privately held marina. It can accomodate a total of 337 boats on permanent and floating pontoons. And it can accept boats of various sizes from 15m to 80m, both for short or long stays, including annual berthing.
The Marina Ag. Kosmas lies between two municipalities. It is primarly part of the Helliniko-Argyroupoli Municipality with public land of 450.000 square meters between the Glyfada Bay and Agios Kosmas cape. But the area south of Poseidonos Avenue in front of the waterfront is within the limits of the Glyfada and Elliniko-Argyroupoli Municipalities. The total marina area is nearly 3.5 km². Along the coastline, the marina area’s length is 3000m and the maximum width perpendicular to the shore is nearly 1200m. The coast’s orientation is NW-SE.
The marina facility is next to the former Hellinikon Airport and various other marinas (Alimos Marina, Flisvos, Glyfada). Alimos and Glyfada are its neighboring municipalities.

The Marina complex is guarded by fences and has a single entrance gate. Private security is in charge of the whole area 24/7. A CCTV system along with electronic cameras provides surveillance for the Marina facilities. At the piers, firefighting systems are in place, equipped with alarm buttons with risk extinguishers, equipment of firefighting. The Marina is incorporated with a power generator of 250 KVA that answers to the basic needs of the compound in power shortage/failure circumstances.
Due to its orientation, breakwater and position, the marina is one of the safest ones in the Mediterranean.
