Anchoring on a white sand floor is possible in the popular bathing bay of Sakarun on the west coast of Dugi Otok. This is situated a short distance from Veli Rat – approximately a 2.5km walk. By boat you have to travel from Veli Rat around the outside of Pantera Bay and past the lighthouse – it is then nearly 7 sea miles to Sakarun. Mooring to buoys is possible.
