Despite the many new buildings the village has kept its charm. Some foreigners have settled down here, and they did so for a good reason. They are bedazzled by the picturesque port town with its steep cobblestone streets, numerous jewelleries, carpet shops and potteries. Mostly you will meet individualists who escape from the hustle and bustle of other touristic places. The antique sites of Xanthos, Letoon and Patara are very close. If you do not want to stay the night in the harbour you may prefer the well protected Northwestern part of the Yeşilköy bay which is situated in the West.
