Beautiful, untouched landscapes plus historical sites - this is something that you do not come across very often on this planet. Dalyan is such a place: a kilometer long sandbank, a river delta including a labyrinth of canals covered with reeds, ancient rock tombs and a historical city with a silted-up harbour. No one can forget this charming mixture, that is why many sailors anchor in Ekincik bay and participate in a half day or whole day boat tour to the delta, organised by local cooperatives. Some visit the mud bath or end the day at the sandy beach. If you do the latter you must step carefully because this beach is a very important nesting place for seaturtles.
