Capestang

Capestang is situated on the Grand Bief, a 54km lock free section that runs between Beziers and Argens.  From here a cruise to the magnificent medieval city of Carcassone is possible. Canal du Midi is surrounded by vineyards that come right down to the waterfront. There are several canal side villages and restaurants where you can enjoy French delicacies under the Mediterranean sun. Equally appealing is the Camargue and the Etang du Thau. One way cruises between Capestang and Port Lauragais are possible.
